Peter Laviolette And Steve Ott Engage In A Shoving Match (Video)
Steve Ott of the Dallas Stars is usually the one breaking the rules on the ice, rather than upholding them. However, he decided to take on the latter role during last night’s game between the Stars and the Philadelphia Flyers.
With the Stars headed through the tunnel towards their dressing room at the end of the first period, Flyers coach Peter Laviolette appeared to be in a rush to exit his own bench and get to the Flyers’ dressing room. That didn’t sit well with Ott, who attempted to block the Flyers’ bench boss, resulting in a shoving match between the two.
We aren’t quite sure if Laviolette was in a hurry to get to the washroom, or if he simply couldn’t stand being on that bench any longer. But either way, this should result in a rather interesting story for next week’s episode of HBO’s 24/7 Flyers/Rangers: Road to the NHL Winter Classic.
Check it out.
