Stat Line Of The Night — 12/29/11 — Terrance Ganaway
Stat Line Of The Night — 1/2/12 — Justin Blackmon
The St. Louis Rams may have been having a tough time trying to figure out what to do with their second overall draft pick in the upcoming 2012 NFL Draft, but their decision has just gotten a lot easier following last night’s Fiesta Bowl.
In a game that featured two dynamic offenses in Oklahoma State and Stanford, both teams did not disappoint. But in the end, it was the Cowboys coming away with the 41-38 OT victory, thanks in large part to the performance put forth by wide receiver Justin Blackmon. The junior, who announced after the game that he will enter the 2012 NFL Draft, had 8 receptions for 186 yards and three touchdowns. Those numbers helped him finish with an incredible 121 receptions, 1522 yards and 18 touchdowns in 13 games this season.
With the Rams in need of a receiving threat to help their young quarterback, Sam Bradford, Blackmon appears to be the perfect fit for their second-overall selection in this year’s draft. His performance on the big stage last night likely proved that, and it also earned him “The Stat Line of the Night” for Monday, January 2, 2012.
