brian scalabrineThere may be only one player in the NBA capable of bringing the fans to their feet in excitement late in the fourth quarter during a blowout.  His name is Brian Scalabrine, but some of you may know him as “The White Mamba.”

“The White Mamba” made an appearance with less than three minutes remaining in last night’s game and the Chicago Bulls leading by 22.  But even with the game all but decided and seemingly nothing left to play for, the fans in the United Center all remained standing at their seats, as they saved their loudest cheers of the night for every moment that the ball landed in Scalabrine’s hands.

And when he took a pass on the fast-break, pulled up, and hit a fade-away jumper over the head of Pistons forward Vernon Macklin, the stadium erupted into a frenzy.
