A Tecmo Bowl Re-Enactment Of Tebow’s Game-Winning Pass To Demaryius Thomas (Video)
One of the great things in sports is seeing two Mayors place friendly wagers on their respective teams whenever their cities collide in a meaningful contest. These types of bets have been taking place throughout several different sports for some time now, and the latest comes from Sunday’s AFC Wild Card match-up between the Denver Broncos and the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Believing that there was no way two-time Super Bowl champion Ben Roethlisberger would lose to Tim Tebow in a playoff game, Pittsburgh Mayor Luke Ravenstahl bet Denver mayor Michael Hancock that his team would come away victorious. And if they didn’t, he promised to don a No. 15 Broncos jersey, get down on one knee, and Tebow for the camera.
As you all know by now, the Steelers would go on to lose by a score of 29-23 in overtime, resulting in the following image of the Pittsburgh mayor.
