Stat Line Of The Night — 1/9/12 — Bama Defense
Stat Line Of The Night — 1/10/12 — Kobe Bryant
Kobe Bryant has taken a lot of heat for his excessive amount of shooting thus far this season, and while the critics may be right, their words don’t seem to be deterring “The Black Mamba” from firing the rock when it is in his hands.
Last night was another night at the shooting range for Kobe, and he appeared to be on target, as he recorded a game-high 48 points on 18-of-31 shooting. He also connected on 12 of his 13 free-throw attempts and added five rebounds, three assists and three steals, while turning the ball over only twice during the Lakers’ 99-83 victory over the Phoenix Suns.
In addition to recording a game-high in points, Kobe’s 48 were also a season-high for the league’s second leading scorer. That is enough to earn him “The Stat Line of the Night” for Tuesday, January 10, 2012.
