Stat Line Of The Night — 1/15/12 — Hakeem Nicks
Stat Line Of The Night — 1/16/12 — Kevin Love
Last season Kevin Love set a record for the longest streak of consecutive double-doubles since the merger between the ABA and NBA in 1976, as he reached the mark 53 straight times. This season, he appeared to be content to reach that mark once again, as he entered last night’s game against the Sacramento Kings with a double-double in each of his first 12 games.
You can now make that 13 straight games with a double-double, as Love posted an impressive 33 points and 11 rebounds during last night’s game. He would also add three assists and two steals, as the Timberwolves earned the 99-86 victory, bumping their record to 5-8 on the season.
Love currently finds himself ranked in the NBA’s top five in points and rebounds this season, and last night’s impressive performance has helped him earn “The Stat Line of the Night” for Monday, January 16, 2012.
