Stat Line Of The Night — 1/16/12 — Kevin Love
Stat Line Of The Night — 1/17/12 — Henrik Lundqvist
The New York Rangers have been having themselves an incredible season, as they entered last night’s game against the Nashville Predators tied with St. Louis and Chicago for first place in the entire NHL. Sixty minutes later they found themselves alone at the top of the standings, thanks in large part to a stellar effort in goal from Henrik Lundqvist.
The Rangers’ goaltender faced 27 shots on the night, and he would stop each and every one of them during his team’s 3-0 victory. The shutout was his fourth of the season, bumping him into the top five in that category. He now finds himself ranked within the league’s top five in goals against average, save percentage, wins and shutouts following last night’s impressive performance, and he also earns the “Stat Line of the Night” for Tuesday, January 17, 2012.
