Frozen Fisticuffs Fight Of The Night — McQuaid vs. White — 2/15/12
Despite sitting at opposite ends of the Eastern Conference standings, the Boston Bruins and the Montreal Canadiens appear to hate each other as much as ever. That has been evident throughout the 2011-12 NHL season, as the two teams, and their fans, have engaged in several altercations already. They added another to their long list last night when the Bruins’ Adam McQuaid and the Canadiens’ Ryan White dropped the gloves and exchanged haymakers during a spirited – and somewhat sloppy – 30 second bout.
Unfortunately for everyone, that is the last that we will see of this rivalry this season, and both McQuaid and White ensured that they went out with a bang. As a result, they each earn themselves a spot on the “Frozen Fisticuffs Fight of the Night” for Wednesday, February 15, 2012.
