Stat Line Of The Night — 2/22/12 — Chris Paul
When Chris Paul was traded from the New Orleans Hornets to the Los Angeles Clippers prior to the start of this season, many wondered how much of an impact the all-star guard would have on his new team. Halfway through the season I believe it is fair to suggest that his impact has been quite a substantial one, as the Clippers have gone from not making the playoffs five years in a row to first place in the Pacific Division heading into the All-Star break.
The Clippers find themselves in such a position for the first time in a while thanks to last night’s 103-95 victory over the Denver Nuggets. Leading the way once again was Paul, who recorded a season-high 36 points to go along with nine assists and two steals. That impressive output has the Clippers sitting one game ahead of the Lakers in the Pacific Division and it earns Paul “The Stat Line of the Night” for Wednesday, February 22, 2012.
