The Game: Miami Heat @ Portland Trail Blazers

The Pick: Heat -4.5

The Reason: The Miami Heat entered the All-Star break on a tear, winning their last eight in a row.  They will look to continue their streak when the visit the Portland Trail Blazers tonight.  The Heat are 5-0 in their last five on the road, and they have covered the spread in each of those games.  As for the Blazers, they have struggled at home as of late, winning only two of their last six at the Rose Garden while going 2-4 ATS in those games.  Look for the Heat to pick up where they left off as they record the win in Portland tonight, and cover the spread in the process.

The Game: St. Louis Blues @ Vancouver Canucks

The Pick: Under 5

The Reason: The Blues have gone under the total in nine of their last 13 games on the road, while the Canucks have gone under the total in four of their last six at home.  The Blues are giving up just 2.00 goals against per game, while the Canucks are giving up 2.44 goals against per game.  Seven of the last eight meetings between these two teams have gone under the total, with the other game resulting in a push.  Both teams have two solid goaltenders, so it shouldn’t matter who starts in goal for either team.  We expect these two teams to continue their recent trend as they go under the total tonight.

2012 Record: (40-37-4), This Week: (5-1), Last Week: (2-4-2)
