Bruins GM Peter Chiarelli Tests Fly Fishing Gear On TD Gardens Ice (Video)
Someone really needs to tell Bruins’ GM Peter Chiarelli that the only thing he’ll catch on the TD Gardens ice with his fly fishing rod are some insults from former Buffalo Sabres enforcer and current Sabres Hockey Network analyst Rob Ray.
With plenty of time on his hands now that the NHL trade deadline has passed, Chiarelli took to the ice to get in some warm-up casts with the start of the fishing season right around the corner. Chiarelli didn’t get a whole lot of time to fly fish last year, as the Bruins’ Stanley Cup ran well into the summer. He is likely hoping that he’ll have to deal with the same problem this year, and that appears to be a very real possibility with the Bruins currently sitting in second place in the Eastern Conference. But if the Bruins do make an early exit from this year’s playoffs, Chiarelli will be ready.
You can check out Pete’s casting skills (or lack thereof) in the video below.
