Most Aussie Rules Footballers are probably under the impression that the hardest hit they will ever take during a game will almost certainly come from a member of the opposing team.
As Eric MacKenzie found out, that isn’t always the case.
The West Coast Eagles player was knocked unconscious after being hit by a ball in the face following a kick by Rhys Stanley during Saturday’s match-up against the St Kilda Saints. MacKenzie had to be stretchered off the field, but reports indicate that he seemed fine and was not showing any concussion-like symptoms following the match.
After watching the video below, I still find that medical report hard to believe. Check it out.
