Stat Line Of The Night — 3/12/12 — Kris Humphries
Stat Line Of The Night — 3/13/12 — Dwight Howard
Dwight Howard may want out of Orlando, but he certainly hasn’t packed his bags and quit on the Magic just yet. That was evident last night, as D-12 was a key catalyst during the Magic’s second quarter comeback against the Miami Heat in what may have very well been his last home game as a member of the team that drafted him in first overall in the 2004 NBA Draft.
Howard would record his 40th career 20-20 game, as he scored 24 points, grabbed 25 rebounds, and he also added another three steals and two blocks to his impressive stat line. Despite those numbers, D-12 and the Magic would still need overtime, but in the end they would dispose of the Heat by a score of 104-98.
After the game, Howard said he would prefer to stay in Orlando for the remainder of the season, but that may not happen with Thursday’s trade deadline right around the corner. If this game does turn out to be D-12′s last in a Magic uniform, he certainly made the most of it, as his performance was worthy of “The Stat Line of the Night” for Tuesday, March 13, 2012.
