Miguel Cabrera Takes A Ball To The Face (Video)
Those of us who were waiting to see how the Miguel Cabrera-Prince Fielder combo works out for the Detroit Tigers during the 2012 MLB regular season may have to wait a little longer after Cabrera took a ball to the face during today’s pre-season game against the Philadelphia Phillies.
During the first inning, Cabrera was fooled by a bad bounce on a Hunter Pence ground ball. The result was a bloody face and a trip to the hospital for the third baseman, where he would undergo precautionary x-rays to see if there is any structural damage around his right eye.
I guess this makes that misplayed grounder by the Hooters ball girl later on in the game a lot less embarrassing.
