Scott Hartnell Slashes Teammate Zac Rinaldo In The Face (Video)
Scott Hartnell has made a living off getting in the faces of his opponents game in and game out, but yesterday it was his stick that was getting in the face of his teammate, Zac Rinaldo.
During Sunday’s matinee match-up against the Pittsburgh Penguins, Hartnell was looking to confront Kris Letang following an open-ice check on Jaromir Jarg. But after losing his balance as he approached the Pens’ defenseman, Hartnell’s stick would come up and strike the face of Rinaldo, forcing the Flyers’ forward to head to the dressing room for some repairs.
Hartnell would repay Rinaldo and the rest of this Flyers teammates in overtime, as he netted the game-winning goal with less than a second remaining in the sudden death frame.
Will that goal be enough to earn him the forgiveness of his teammate, Zac Rinaldo, following this slash to the face?
Check it out.
