The Daily Gambling Fix — 3/19/12 — Tara Babcock
The Game: Anaheim Ducks @ San Jose Sharks
The Reason: The Ducks have gone under the total in 18 of their last 23 games overall, and nine of their last 11 on the road. As for the Sharks, they have gone under the total in seven of their last ten overall, and five of their last six at home. Each of the last four meetings between these two teams have gone under the total. Look for both teams to keep things tight defensively tonight, as these division foes go under the total for the fifth time in a row.
The Game: Vancouver Canucks @ Minnesota Wild
The Reason: The Vancouver Canucks have stumbled a bit as of late, but a match-up against the Minnesota Wild should change things quickly. The Wild have won just one of their last nine games overall and they have lost their last five straight at home. The Canucks have won seven of the last eight meetings between the two teams, and with starting goaltender Niklas Backstrom out for the Wild, the Canucks should have little trouble making it eight wins in nine games against Minnesota.
