Stat Line Of The Night — 3/22/12 — Bradley Beal
Most NBA Mock Drafts these days will have Florida Gators guard Bradley Beal going somewhere within the top ten. That is largely because of his ability to do it all from the guard position, and he demonstrated that once again last night during the Gators’ Sweet Sixteen match-up against Marquette.
Two areas of Beal’s game that scouts are most impressed with are his shooting and his ability to rebound from the guard position. Both of those talents were on display last night, as the freshman went 8-of-10 from the field and 3-of-5 from three-point land during his 21-point, 6-rebound performance. He would also add four assists, two blocks and two steals while turning the ball over just twice during the Gators’ 68-58 victory.
After beating one Big East team, the Gators will now take on another, as they are set to face the reigning Big East champs from Louisville in what should be an entertaining Elite Eight battle on Saturday. Florida’s run to the Final Four ended in the Elite Eight last season, and if they want to get over that hump this year, they will need another stellar performance from Beal. He provided them with just that last night, and as a result, he earns “The Stat Line of the Night” for Thursday, March 22, 2012.
