Vancouver Canucks Players Urge Their Fans To Avoid Rioting And Celebrate Responsibily (Video)
Frozen Fisticuffs Fight Of The Night — Olver vs. Booth — 3/28/12
When David Booth of the Vancouver Canucks and Mark Olver of the Colorado Avalanche dropped the gloves during the first period of last night’s game, the Canucks’ Maxim Lapierre was quick to arrive on the scene, believing that Booth would need some back-up. He was wrong.
Booth looked awfully comfortable with his gloves off, especially for a player with only two previous NHL fights, as he landed several blows to the head of Olver before knocking his opponent to the ice. That was just about all the action that this game had to offer, as the Canucks would come away with a rather uneventful 1-0 victory.
At least Booth and Olver gave the fans something to get excited about, and because of it, they both earned themselves a spot on the “Frozen Fisticuffs Fight of the Night” for Wednesday, March 28. 2012.
