Jeff Francoeur Sponsored The Second Annual Bacon Tuesday In Oakland (Video)
Last year the fans in section 149 of the Oakland Coliseum held the first ever Bacon Tuesday. During that game, they offered Kansas City Royals’ right fielder Jeff Francoeur a plate of bacon. In return, Francoeur tossed the men a baseball with a $100 bill wrapped around it and told them “beer or bacon dog on me.” That donation to the Bacon Tuesday organizers has apparently made Jeff Francoeur the official sponsor of the 2012 edition of Bacon Tuesday, which took place during last night’s game between the Royals and the A’s.
Francoeur took a moment to visit his Bacon Tuesday fans during a seventh inning rain delay, and after receiving an official Bacon Tuesday t-shirt, he offered the following endorsement for the annual event.
