Stat Line Of The Night — 4/24/12 — Paul Millsap
Stat Line Of The Night — 4/25/12 — Evan Turner
With little to play for during their final few games of the 2011-12 NBA regular season, the Philadelphia 76ers had the opportunity to rest the likes of Elton Brand, Andre Iguodala, Lou Williams and Thaddeus Young prior to their opening round playoff series. That gave sophomore Evan Turner the opportunity to play more minutes last nihgt and show everyone why the 76ers used their second overall pick in the 2010 NBA Draft to select him.
Turner was on the court for a total of 40 minutes and he made the most of it, recording a career-high 29 points to go along with 13 rebounds, six assists and two blocks during the 76ers 90-85 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks.
Not many people are giving the 76ers a chance in their opening-round playoff series against either the Chicago Bulls or the Miami Heat. I certainly wouldn’t expect Turner to be the difference in this series, but he was the difference last night, and it earned him “The Stat Line of the Night” for Wednesday, April 25, 2012.
