After it was first reported that Amar’e Stoudemire had injured his hand punching the glass casing of a fire extinguisher at American Airlines Arena following the New York Knicks’ Game 2 loss to the Miami Heat, many people began to speculate how the incident unfolded. While some believe that it was simply an act of frustration and poor judgement from a player whose team is on the brink of elimination, others have reported that Stoudemire initially thought he was striking a piece of plastic, not glass.
As for myself, I choose to believe that the altercation between Stoudemire and the fire extinguisher looked a little something like this.
