This Canadian Paralympics Commercial Is Amazing! (Video)
In all likelihood, the 2012 Paralympic Games will be overshadowed by the 2012 Summer Games in London. That tends to be the case when it comes to Special Olympics events, but this year the Canadian Paralympic Committee is determined avoid taking a backseat to the “able-bodied” Olympics, and they’re hoping that this commercial by Canadian photographer/director Mark Zibert titled “Unstoppable” will help their cause.
Whether that turns out to be the case remains to be seen, but the commercial, which stars Canadian short-distance runner Alister McQueen, did succeed in giving me goosebumps (like It’s That Nice said it would) while providing me with a whole new appreciation for Special Olympics athletes.
Interestingly enough, the entire commercial was shot in just one take with no special effects. You can check out the commercial and a behind-the-scenes look at how it was created in the videos below.
