Chris ‘Birdman’ Reportedly Under Investigation For Child Pornography
Fly away, Birdman! Fly as far as you can!
Denver Nuggets power forward and sometimes Biff-Tannen impersonator Chris “Birdman” Andersen has a bit of a problem on his hands. Is it tons of stupid tattoos and a faux-hawk? No. Well, yes, but that’s not the biggest problem Birdman faces right now.
According to a Denver TV station, the NBA player’s “home” has come under investigation for possible Internet criminal activity. The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office today raided his home and seized undisclosed assets, acting on a tip from a law enforcement agency from California. The agency in question wasn’t specified.
In the face of this investigation, Andersen joined his team for practice this morning and is expected to play tonight in Game 6 against the Lakers.
All this comes from the NBC affiliate in Denver. The ABC affiliate, ABC7 is reporting that the investigation is predicated on allegations of child pornography. NBC7 is claiming that the seized materials were electronic devices.
None of this sounds like great news for the athlete who has made a name for himself in the NBA due to not only his colorful plumage, but his overcoming substance abuse to become one of the most recognizable players in the league.
