The Game: Phoenix Coyotes @ Los Angeles Kings

The Pick: Over 4.5

The Game: Phoenix Coyotes @ Los Angeles Kings

The Pick: Over 4.5

The Reason: You won’t see me pick the over in a Los Angeles Kings game often, but today I will be making an exception with the line set at 4.5.  After struggling to score throughout the entire regular season, the Kings have been finding the back of the net on a much more consistent basis in the playoffs, as they have scored at least four goals of their own in six of their eleven playoff games.  They are averaging 3.18 goals per game this post-season and they don’t appear to be slowing down anytime soon, as they have scored at least three goals in each of their last six games.  As for the Coyotes, they will be playing desperate hockey tonight and should be able to add a few goals of their own, as this game goes over the 4.5-goal total.

The Game: Los Angeles Clippers @ San Antonio Spurs

The Pick: Spurs -10.5

The Reason: The San Antonio Spurs haven’t just been winning.  They’ve been winning big!  After beating the Clippers by 16 points in Game One of their Western Conference semifinal series, the Spurs have now covered the spread in four of their five playoffs games.  Their average margin of victory in the playoffs has been 16 points, and they have been at their best at home, where they have won by margins of 15, 31 and 16 points.  San Antonio is 13-1-1 against the spread in their last 15 games, and we expect them to continue their dominance over the opposition as they come away with the win and the cover tonight.

2012 Record: (86-89-10), This Week: (2-4), Last Week: (3-5-2)
