The Game: Texas Rangers @ Oakland A’s

The Pick: Rangers -120

The Reason: Two struggling teams meet in Oakland tonight when the Rangers take on the Athletics. The Rangers snapped a four-game losing skid last night with a 7-3 win over the Angels, while the A’s have won just one of their last 11 games.  Both team’s starters haven’t been good either, as Jarrod Parker has watched the A’s lose in each of his last four starts, while the Rangers have lost in each of Scott Feldman’s last three starts.  But we’re giving the edge to Texas tonight.  Not only do they have nine more wins than the A’s on the season, but they have also won 13 of the last 16 meetings between these two teams, and five of the last six in Oakland.  Look for the Rangers to get their second win in a row tonight.

The Game: New Jersey Devils @ Los Angeles Kings

The Pick: Under 4.5

The Reason: The Kings and the Devils don’t appear to be interested in scoring many goals during their Stanley Cup Finals series.  After watching each of the first two games finish with 2-1 scorelines in overtime, they have now gone under the total in each of their last five meetings, and six of their last seven, with the other game resulting in a push.  Martin Brodeur and Jonathan Quick have both been stellar and we don’t expect that to change tonight, as both goaltenders should keep the goals at a minimum while ensuring that this game stays under the total.
