The Daily Gambling Fix — 6/5/21 — Lucy Pinder
The Game: Toronto Blue Jays @ Chicago White Sox
The Reason: Two of the American League’s top offense square off in Chicago tonight when the Jays take on the White Sox. Jays starter Ricky Romero has an impressive 6-1 record on the season, but he has an unimpressive 4.04 ERA and the total has gone over in each of his last three starts. As for White Sox starter Phil Humber, he has an ERA of 5.37, and the total has gone over in each of his last two starts. The Jays have gone over the total in each of their last five games on the road, while the Sox have gone over the total in six of their last seven at home. Look for plenty of runs to be scored, as this game goes over the total.
The Game: Boston Celtics @ Miami Heat
The Reason: After winning the first two games of their Eastern Conference Finals series against the Boston Celtics, the Miami Heat have fallen on hard times, losing the last two games at the TD Garden. They return home tonight looking to regain the series lead, but it won’t be easy. The Celtics appeared to have figured out that they hold a big advantage at the point guard position with Rajon Rondo, as he has been a key factor in each of his team’s last two victories. The Celtics have now covered the spread in each of their last three games against the Heat, and seven of the last eight meetings between these two teams. Look for them to keep things close once again, as they may not get the win, but they should cover the eight-point spread tonight.
2012 Record: (96-103-10), This Week: (1-1), Last Week: (3-5)
