The Game: San Francisco Giants @ Los Angeles Angels

The Pick: Giants -105

The Reason: No pitcher in the game of baseball is hotter than the San Francisco Giants’ Matt Cain at the moment.  Not only is the 27-year-old righty coming off a perfect game against the Houston Astros that saw him record 14 strikeouts, but he has also earned a win in each of his last seven starts, while the Giants have earned victories in each of his last eight trips to the mound.  He has been lights-out in June, with a miniscule ERA of 0.38 in three starts this month.  He has allowed one earned run or less in each of his last four starts and we expect him to continue to roll tonight, as he and the Giants walk away with a victory in Los Angeles.

The Game: Chicago Cubs @ Chicago White Sox

The Pick: White Sox -125

The Reason: The White Sox have struggled as of late, losing four of their last five, but they should be happy to see their crosstown rivals, the Chicago Cubs, paying a visit to US Cellular Field.  The White Sox have fared well against the Cubs recently, winning seven of the last eight meetings between the two teams, and six of the last eight at home.  The Cubs are a disappointing 22-44 on the season, and they have been especially poor away from home, where they are 8-25.  Look for the White Sox to get back to their wining ways tonight, as they continue to find success against the Cubs and come away with the victory.
