The Game: St. Louis Cardinals @ Miami Marlins

The Pick: Cardinals -115

The Reason: The Miami Marlins have been struggling mightily as of late, having lost six of their last seven overall, and ten of their last twelve at home.  As for the Cardinals, they have won four of their last five games and they have had quite a bit of success against the Marlins recently, having won the last six meetings, and the last five in the state of Florida.  Marlins starter Ricky Nolasco has lost each of his last three starts against St. Louis, while the Cards have won in each of Jake Westbrook’s last two starts against Miami.  Look for the Cards to continue to find success against the Marlins as they earn another victory in Florida tonight.

The Game: Tampa Bay Rays @ Kansas City Royals

The Pick: Rays -105

The Reason: The Tampa Bay Rays enter tonight’s game having won each of their last five games against the Kansas City Royals.  In his only career start against the Royals, Rays starter Alex Cobb pitched seven shutout innings during a 5-0 Tampa victory.  As for Royals starter Luke Hochevar, he has watched his team lose in four of his last five starts against the Rays.  Tampa is an impressive 29-18 against right-handed pitchers, and while they are only 19-17 on the road this season, they will be up against a Royals team that is an embarrassing 11-23 at home.  Look for the better team to emerge victorious tonight, as the Rays earn the win in Kansas City.

2012 Record: (112-112-11), Last Week: (6-4)
