15 Sexiest Women Of Wimbledon 2012

I was going to write an exciting article about Prince Charles attending Wimbledon, and how rain delays have pushed back some of the matches. But then I remembered that Prince Charles and rain don’t exactly make for sexy reading. Also, it would be hard to work in pictures of attractive women into such an article. So instead, I’ve decided to switch gears and cover the 15 sexiest women of Wimbledon 2012. My apologies to anyone who would rather look at pictures of Prince Charles watching other people play tennis in the rain.

15. Tsvetana Pironkova

Truth be told, while Tsvetana Pironkova (left) is cute, she almost didn’t make the list. But anyone woman who wears a t-shirt that says “billboard” across the chest definitely gets some extra points in our book. Also, who’s your friend, Tsvetana?

14. Petra Cetkovska

Petra Cetkovska is currently ranked number 26 in the world, which means she’s probably not going to pull any major upsets at this year’s Wimbledon. But if nothing else, I’m sure she’ll turn a few heads at the All England Club.

13. Flavia Pennetta

Flavia Pennetta’s skill and determination made her the first Italian woman to ever be ranked number one in doubles. But her ability to do the splits made her number 13 on our list.

12. Julia Goerges

Julia Goerges is one of the few American hotties to make this list. Unlike the rest of the world, the U.S. tends to send all its hotties to the WNBA.

11. Mathilde Johansson

Mathilde Johansson has yet to win a title since going pro in 2000. Even so, she just barely missed the top ten on our list. That has to count for something. Maybe next year.

10. Angelique Kerber

At number 8, Angelique Kerber is currently the highest-ranked German in the WTA rankings. However, she is not the highest ranking German-hottie on this list.

9. Caroline Wozniacki

Caroline Wozniacki has yet to win a women’s Grand Slam title, but she did win the 2006 Wimbledon Girls’ singles. Also, she’s really, really hot.

8. Sabine Lisicki

At number eight, we have Sabine Lisicki, who is currently ranked number 12 in the world of tennis. Last year, she reached the Wimbledon semifinals, becoming only the second woman to do so after entering as a wildcard. Here’s hoping for she can go the distance this year.

7. Maria Kirilenko

Russian hottie Maria Kirilenko is currently ranked number 19 in the world. You’d think the fact that she’s been photographed in a bikini for Sports Illustrated would at least bump her up to the top ten. But alas, they tend to give more weight to things like wins and performance than they do sexy bodies.

6. Arantxa Rus

To be honest, there might be a few women on this list who deserve to be ahead of Dutch beauty Arantxa Rus. But we really, really liked this picture, so she comes in at number six.

5. Daniela Hantuchova

Daniela Hantuchova comes in at number five on our list, although in tennis she’s currently ranked 29th. She has won the mixed doubles title in all four Grand Slam tournaments, an accomplishment that is shared with only five other, probably less attractive, women.

4. Dominika Cibulkova

Dominika Cibulkova grew up in Bratislava, which might have the least sexy name of all major cities. Luckily, Dominika doesn’t suffer from a lack of sexiness. She’s never won a Grand Slam tournament, although she advanced to the quarter finals of Wimbledon in 2011.

3. Vera Zvonareva

This sexy Russian player has never won a Grand Slam tournament, but she has won 12 WTA singles titles. Even if she hadn’t won anything, she’d still be a winner in our book. Then again, we’re losers, so our opinions don’t really matter.

2. Ana Ivanovic

Sexy Serb Ana Ivanovic is currently ranked 14th in the world, although she was once ranked number one. But on our list, she’s ranked number two. She has a French Open title under her belt (insert joke about getting under her belt here), and is currently seeking to add a Wimbledon title, as well.

1. Maria Sharapova

Was there ever any doubt? Maria Sharapova might be the predictable pick, but there’s a reason for that. The reason being she’s friggen hot. And while this might not be the sexiest picture of her, we thought it was the most satisfying.
