Aroldis Chapman Gets The Save, Does A Barrel Roll (Video)
With a fastball that is capable of reaching record-breaking speeds in his pitching arsenal, it is probably safe to assume that Cincinnati Reds closer Aroldis Chapman will record plenty of saves during his Major League career. He recorded another last night against the Milwaukee Brewers, as he entered the game in the ninth inning and struck out Ryan Braun, Carlos Gomez and Martin Maldonado for his ninth save of the season.
It was the type of dominating performance that was worthy of celebrating, and the 24-year-old lefty did just that, as he followed up his punch-out of Maldonado with back-to-back celebratory barrel rolls off the mound.
After blowing each of his last two save opportunities, it may be fair to assume that Aroldis was anxious to break out of that slump and showcase his new save celebration. Hopefully for him and the Reds, there will be plenty more barrel rolls to come.
Check it out.
