If You Want To Use “Fear The Brow,” You’ll Have To Pay Anthony Davis (Video)
After being taken by the New Orleans Hornets with the first-overall pick in the 2012 NBA Draft, Anthony Davis is set for a big payday (probably just above $5-million/year, judging by the rookie wage scale for the following three years). And while that may sound like a boat-load of dough, it may pale in comparison to what he could receive for his trademark unibrow.
During his freshman season at Kentucky, Anthony Davis taught college ballers everywhere to “fear the brow.” The term soon spread like wildfire, as it appeared on everything from signs to t-shirts during the 2012 NCAA March Madness Tournament. And although Davis wasn’t able to financially capitalize on the phrase during his college career, that is about to change during his professional career, as the 19-year-old has taken the advice of his parents and agents, and trademarked the phrase.
With that being said, I think I’ll refrain from mentioning the phrase again, due to the fear of having to cut Davis a check.
You can see him talking about his recently trademarked phrase during last night’s draft in the video below.
