The Game: New York Yankees @ Tampa Bay Rays

The Pick: Yankees -115

The Reason: The Yankees enter tonight’s game having won 17 of their last 23 overall, and nine of their last 11 on the road.  as for the Rays, they have won just two of their last eight games.  Yanks starter Ivan Nova is an impressive 9-2 on the season, and he has been at his best when playing the Rays.  Not only has he earned the victory in his last four starts against Tampa, but the Yanks have also won in each of his last five starts against their division rivals, and Nova has allowed two earned runs or fewer in each of those contests.  As for Rays starter James Shields, he has lost in each of his last two starts against the Yanks, while allowing ten runs against over eleven innings.  Look for Nova and the Yankees to continue finding success against the Rays, as they earn the victory tonight.

The Game: Los Angeles Angels @ Cleveland Indians

The Pick: Under 9

The Reason: Runs always seem hard to come by whenever the Cleveland Indians take on the Los Angeles Angels.  Following yesterday’s 3-0 victory for the Angels, these two teams have now gone under the total in each of their last seven meetings.  Tonight the Angels send Dan Haren to the mound, and he has allowed two runs or fewer in each of his last four starts against the Indians.  Four of those five games have totaled five runs or less.  Look for another low-scoring game to unfold at Progressive Field tonight, as this game goes under the total.

2012 Record: (118-114-11), This Week: (2-0), Last Week: (4-2)
