The Game: Philadelphia Phillies @ New York Mets

The Pick: Mets -110

The Reason: The struggles of the Philadelphia Phillies continue, as they have lost six of their last seven overall, and seven of their last eight on the road.  As for their opponents tonight, the Mets, they have won five of their last seven games, and they send RA Dickey to the mound.  In addition to a 12-1 record and a miniscule 2.15 ERA, Dickey has allowed zero earned runs against in seven of his last eight starts (he pitched at least seven innings in those seven starts).  He has pitched seven innings in each of his last two starts against the Phillies, and allowed only one earned run against in both of those games, which resulted in Mets victories.  Look for Dickey and the Mets to continue to find success, as they beat the slumping Phillies tonight.

The Game: Houston Astros @ Pittsburgh Pirates

The Pick: Pirates -130

The Reason: The Pirates enter tonight’s game with wins in seven of their last eight overall, and six of their last seven at home.  They are also an incredible 26-13 at home this season.  As for the Astros, they have lost each of their last four games, and they are an embarrassing 9-31 on the road.  The Pirates have won each of the last five meetings between these two teams, and their starter, Jeff Karstens, has won each of his last three starts against Houston.  Look for the Pirates to keep their wining streak alive as they earn the win over the Astros tonight.

2012 Record: (118-116-11), This Week: (2-2), Last Week: (4-2)
