Jo-Wilfried Tsonga Takes Nasty Nut Shot Off Racket Of Andy Murray At Wimbledon Semifinal (Video)
There’s been a lot of pressure on Andy Murray at Wimbledon over the last 6 years or so. That’s because, as the top British tennis player in the world, he has been Britain’s only hope during this time to end the nation’s long tennis nightmare.
What am I talking about? I’m talking about the fact that no British man has won, or even played, in the final of the world’s most famous tennis tournament in 74 years.
Andy Murray has come the closest. He made the 4th round in ’06, the quarters in ’08, and then the semis in ’09, ’10, and ’11. He made the semifinals for the fourth time this year, and unlike the previous two trips, he wouldn’t have to face the great Rafael Nadal, who got knocked out earlier in the tournament.
Point is Murray was not going to be denied a trip to the Wimbledon finals this year. And if that meant giving his semifinal opponent Jo-Wilfried Tsonga an epic tennis nut shot, then so be it.
Yeah, that’s right. Today at the All-England Tennis Club, during his semifinal victory over the Frenchman, Murray blistered a shot right into Tsonga’s family jewels. And apparently, it hurt like hell.
Check it out:
The good news for Tsonga is that he at least has an excuse for losing the match.
As for Murray, I’m sure he didn’t do this on purpose (wink wink). But of course, if the same thing should happen to Federer during Sunday’s final, the world will start to get suspicious.
