Cameraman Trips, Falls, Carried Off On Stretcher During National Anthem At Russian Soccer Game (Video)
Remember that cameraman who tripped and fell while trying to get a close-up of Adrian Beltre during Game 4 of the 2011 ALDC between the Rangers and Rays? Well, that guy is officially off the hook. The world has a new “most hilarious falling cameraman,” and he makes that baseball dude look like an amateur.
The hilarity you are about to see comes from a second-division Russian soccer match between Yenisey Krasnoyarsk and Shinnik Yaroslavl. Before the game started, as the players were lined up on the field for the national anthem, one of the cameramen failed to get into position on time. Thus, instead of the usual panning close-up shot of the players looking all serious with their game faces, the producers had to go with a wide-angle shot of the pitch.
Fortunately, this wide-angle shot gives us a perfect view of that out-of-place camera man, as he scrambles to get to his spot, trips on the turf, falls face first, and then—I kid you not—gets carried off the field on a stretcher.
You have to watch it for yourself.
If you’ve seen anything funnier than that today, I’d like to know what it is.
