The Game: Chicago Cubs @ St. Louis Cardinals

The Pick: Under 8

The Reason: The Cubs head into tonight’s game having gone under the total in four of their last five overall, and eight of their last 12 on the road.  As for the Cardinals, they have gone under the total in each of their last five games, and five of their last six at home.  Nine of the last 13 meetings between these two teams have gone under the total.  The Cubs send Ryan Dempster and his league-leading 1.86 ERA to the mound.  He has not allowed a run against in any of his last five starts.  As for the Cards starter, Kyle Lohse, he has been solid this year, posting a 2.80 ERA thus far.  Look for both pitchers to dominate as this game goes under the total.

The Game: New York Yankees @ Oakland Athletics

The Pick: Yankees -120

The Reason: The Yankees have won six of their last eight overall, and 13 of their last 18 on the road. They are an impressive 27-18 away from Yankee Stadium on the season and tonight they send Ivan Nova to the mound.  The Yankees’ righty is a solid 10-4 on the season, and he led his team to a victory in his only career starts against the Oakland A’s earlier this season.  The Yanks have won four of the last five against Oakland, and nine of their last ten at the Oakland Coliseum.  Look for them to come away with the victory over the A’s tonight.

2012 Record: (124-122-11), This Week: (4-4)
