The Game: Washington Nationals @ New York Mets

The Pick: Nationals -130

The Reason: The Nationals enter tonight’s game against the Mets having won 10 of the last 13 meetings between the two teams.  They have been at their best when playing at Citi Field, as they are 6-1 in their last seven visits there.  Tonight, the Nationals start Jordan Zimmerman, and while his 7-6 record may not be great, his 2.35 ERA is good enough for fifth in the Majors.  The Nats have won in each of his last three starts against the Mets, as he has allowed a total of just two runs over 18 innings.  As for Mets starter Chris Young, he is 2-4 on the season with a 4.11 ERA, and his team has lost in three of his last four starts against the Nats.  Look for Washington to continue to find success against their division rivals, as they earn the victory tonight.

The Game: Atlanta Braves @ Florida Marlins

The Pick: Braves +115

The Reason: The Braves enter tonight’s game against the Marlins having won 10 of their last 14 overall, and five of their last seven on the road.  Miami, on the other hand, find themselves struggling through a five-game losing streak.  The Braves have won four of the last five meetings between these two teams, and they have been at their best on the road against the Marlins, where they have won ten of their last 12.  In Josh Johnson’s last five starts against the Braves, the Marlins have won just once.  We don’t expect Johnson and the Marlins to fare any better this time around, as the Braves start this series out with a victory.

2012 Record: (125-123-11), Last Week: (5-5)
