Will Ferrell and Zach Galifianakas Got to Meet Chelsea FC Last Week in Seattle (Video)
Last week we told you about how Will Ferrell and Zach Galifianakas stopped by Wrigley Field while touring the country, doing publicity for their upcoming movie, The Campaign.
Well, their visit to Wrigley wasn’t their only run-in with pro athletes. During their brief visit to Seattle, they also got a chance to meet up with Chelsea FC, winners of this year’s UEFA Champions League.
You see, Chelsea, too, are on a summer tour through the United States. Last week they were in Seattle for an exhibition against the Sounders of the MLS (which they won 4-2), before heading to New York for an exhibition against Paris Saint-Germain at Yankee Stadium (which they tied 1-1).
Now, this meeting between the movie stars and soccer players was more of a behind-the-scenes thing, so Ferrell and Galifianakis weren’t in character like they have been for most of their tour. But that doesn’t mean they weren’t funny.
Check out the video:
The best part? That would have to be when Galifianakas asks, “nobody got us a pair of shorts?” after being presented with a Chelsea jersey with his name on it.
(Honorable mention: when Ferrell pretends he’s going to sign the Champions League trophy with a sharpie.)
