The Game: Detroit Tigers @ Cleveland Indians

The Pick: Under 7.5

The Reason: The Tigers have gone under the total in five of their last six overall, and six of their last nine on the road.  As for the Indians, they have gone under the total in each of their last five games (all at home).  The total has gone under in each of Justin Verlander’s last three starts, while Indians’ pitcher Zach McAllister has watched each of his last two starts go under the total.  Seven of the last nine meetings between these two teams have gone under, including each of their last five meetings in Cleveland.  With Verlander on the mound tonight, look for another low-scoring game to unfold, as this game goes under the total.

The Game: Kansas City Royals @ Seattle Mariners

The Pick: Mariners -110

The Reason: Seattle hasn’t been great this season, but they have been better than the Kansas City Royals, and they have also won six of the last nine meetings between the two teams.  The Royals have won just four of their last 16 overall, and one of their last six on the road.  Their starter tonight, Luis Mendoza, is 3-5 on the season with a 4.26 ERA.  As for the Mariners, they send Justin Vargas (10-7) to the mound.  Seattle has earned the victory in each of Vargas’ last three starts, and he has also earned the win in each of his last three starts against the Royals.  Look for him to make it four in a row against Kansas City, as the Mariners earn the victory tonight.

2012 Record: (128-126-11), This Week: (3-3), Last Week: (5-5)
