This Guy Is Super Excited About A French Swimmer’s Gold Medal Victory (Video)

excited french swimming fanWith their national soccer team still in shambles following a disastrous 2010 World Cup and a Brit (Bradley Wiggins) winning the Tour de France this year, French sports fans haven’t had many sources of national sports pride lately.

However, so far at the 2012 Summer Olympics, France has been doing pretty well in the pool, winning three gold medals thus far. The men’s relay team won the 4x100m Freestyle, Yannick Agnel won the men’s 200m Freestyle, and Camille Muffat won the women’s 400m Freestyle.

These three gold medal performances put France 3rd in the gold medal standings behind China and the USA heading into Day 4 of the Olympics.

So are the French Olympic fans in London excited? Yes. In fact, they are very, very excited.  Just check out this reaction to Muffat’s 400m Freestyle victory on Sunday night:

That, ladies and gentleman, is the celebration of a sports fan who has not had much to cheer about in recent years. Either that, or he’s Camille Muffat’s significant other.

In any case, it must be nice for the French athletes to have such staunch supporters cheering them on in London, though personally, I’d rather get a nice big hug from Michelle Obama.
