Two weeks ago we brought you a list of the hottest female athletes Olympians at the 2012 Summer Olympics. Then, last week, we brought you a list of the greatest female Olympians of all time.

So what do we have for you this week? How about a combination of the two.

That’s right. Today we bring you the hottest gold medalists in the history of the Summer Olympics. So we’re talking about female athletes who are both extremely talented and quite gorgeous. And luckily, this combination of attributes isn’t quite as rare as expected. So we have 20 of these incredible women to tell you about.

So let’s get started, shall we?

Sport: Handball

Year: 2008

In case you didn’t know this sport existed, handball is basically a combination of basketball and soccer. It was developed in Sweden, Germany, and Denmark in the latter half of the 19th century, and they call handball players handballers…which is sounds dirty.

Sport: Foil Fencing

Year: 2012

For years Francisca was the second-best female foil fencer in Italy, stuck behind 5-time gold medalist Valentina Vezzali. But now Vezzali is retired, and Francisca finally won gold this year in London.

Sport: Gymnastics

Year: 1996

Dawes competed in the 1992 and 2000 Summer Games, but she’ll always be remembered as a member of the 1996 gold medal-winning team. (You know, the one with Kerri Strug and the sprained ankle.) And by the way, Dawes was 19 at the ’96 Games, so it was totally okay if you thought she was hot back then.

Year: 2008

She’s never won a grand slam event, but she did win a gold medal in Beijing, which is a nice consolation prize.

Year: 2008

She won silver in Athens in 2004 at the age of 15. Then she won gold in Beining in 2008, becoming the first Italian Olympic swimming champ.

Anastasia Davydova and Anastasia Yermakova have won 4 gold medals—two each in team synchro and duet synchro. They’ll be looking to make it 3 in a row this year in London.

Couglin won 2 golds in Athens (100m backstroke and 4x200m freestyle) and 1 gold in Beijing (100m backstroke). Unfortunately, she “only” got a bronze in her only event at this year’s Games (4x100m freestyle).

Year: 2004, 2008

This year Heather and her Team USA teammates will try to make it three golds in a row and 4 out of 5. They only made women’s soccer an olympic sport in 1996, and sadly, those losers in 2000 only won silver.

Yes, back in the day, Summer Sanders was more than just a contestant on Celebrity Apprentice. She won 2 golds at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona in the 200m butterfly and the 4x100m relay.

Year: 2004

Cash was left off the 2008 Olympic roster after winning gold in Athens in 2004. But she’s back in 2012, so it looks like she’ll add another gold medal to her trophy case pretty soon.

Despite what her unfortunate name suggests, this individual all-around gymnastics champion is hardly nasty-lookin’.

For anyone who remembers Amanda Beard’s Olympic debut at the age of 14 in 1996, when she would walk out to the pool clutching her teddy bear, it was kind of weird when she decided to pose for Playboy.

Pendleton took home the gold in the track cycling sprint at the 2008 Summer Games in Beijing. Now she’s the hottest track cyclist you’ve ever heard of.

Fatima’s Dutch field hockey squad took bronze in Sydney, silver in Athens, and gold in Beijing. Unfortunately there’s no platinum medal at the Olympics, so they’ll have to settle for another gold this year.

With 3 gold in 2000 and another in 2004, Inge de Bruijn was pretty okay. Since her success in the pool, she’s become a model and spokesperson for Dutch lingerie company Sapph which, like her name, I have no idea how to pronounce.

I’ll admit that for a while I didn’t really get all the hype about Hope Solo, but now I’m a big fan. Let’s just hope she cools it with the controversial tweets and focuses on keeping balls out of her net for the next 10 days.

The only softball player you’ve ever heard of managed to win herself a gold medal in softball before they cut the sport from the Olympic program after just after Games.

Carvalho has been named “Best Receiver” and “Best Spiker” at various international tournaments in recent years. Also, she proves that volleyball doesn’t have to be played on a beach to be sexy.

Reinhardt celebrated her gold medal in the 500m kayaking fours at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing, Nicole Reinhardt posed nude in German Playboy. Like you do. (I wonder if that has anything to do with the fact that she’s not on the German team this year.)

Stephanie Rice became a superstar in 2008 after winning three golds in the 200m medley, 400m medley, and 4x200m freestyle. This year she got her ass handed to her by the 16-year-old Chinese swimmer Ye Shiwen; however, Rice is still hotter.
