Nigerian Basketball Player Breaks James Harden’s Ankles With Crossover (Video)
The USA men’s basketball team didn’t even come close to losing it’s first two games at the 2012 Summer Olympics. However, they’ve still received some criticism for their slow, sluggish starts. On Thursday, however, they silenced their critics by blitzing Nigeria right from the get-go, en route to a record setting 156-73 victory.
What records were broken? Just the U.S. records for three-pointers, field goals, field goal percentage, and total points, and the Olympic records for most points in the first half (78) and most points in a game.
So it was a big night for Team USA. If Michelle Obama had been there, she probably would have given them all a hug and a kiss.
However, it wasn’t all doom and gloom for the Nigerians. If they’re looking for a silver lining in this epic blowout, they need look no further than this sweet ankle-breaker by guard Tony Skinn on the USA’s James Harden:
Pretty smooth, right? It doesn’t exactly erase all the bad memories, but this is probably the highlight of the game. And in a historic loss like this, that counts for something, doesn’t it?
