Brazil’s Amanda Scores What May Be The Greatest Goal In Women’s Soccer History (Video)
I’m not quite sure what the greatest goal in women’s soccer history is at the moment (Alex Morgan’s goal from a WPS match one year ago seems like a solid candidate), but it may have been outdone by a brilliant effort from Amanda during Sunday’s match between Brazil and Italy at the FIFA Under-20 Women’s World Cup.
With Brazil trailing Italy 1-0 two minutes into second-half injury time, Amanda broke into the Italian box, flicked a ball over the head of an opposing defender along the end line, took the ball off her chest and volleyed it over the head of the Italian keeper from a rather difficult angle. If that sounds impressive, wait until you actually see it unfold before your eyes.

So what do you think? Does this qualify as the best goal you have ever witnessed during a women’s soccer match?
