Cowboys Defensive Coordinator Rob Ryan Dares The Giants To “Go For It, F#@k Face!” (Video)
The Dallas Cowboys had a frustrating end to the 2011 season. On December 3 they were 7-4 and in first place, while the Giants were 6-5. But then Dallas lost four of their last five games, including two to the Giants and one to the Eagles. Meanwhile, the Giants won three of their last four, took the division, stormed through the playoffs, and won the Super Bowl.
That entire turn of events had to sting for the Cowboys. So you know they wanted to make a big statement in the season-opener against Eli Manning and company last night. And when the Dallas defence shut down Manning and Victor Cruz on a crucial third down in the red zone early in the game, that was a big moment.
And if you want to get an idea of just how big it was, look no further than the reaction from Cowboys defensive coordinator Rob Ryan. The dude was jacked up, to say the least.
Take a look:
I’m not a lip-reading expert, but I know a “F#@& YEAH!” when I see one.
As for the second half of Ryan’s celebratory profanity, it’s a little more difficult to interpret, but I think he’s saying “GO FOR IT F#@& FACE”—which I presume is a challenge to Manning and/or Giants coach Tom Coughlin, begging them to try their luck on 4th down.
Regardless, it’s nice to see that the guy has all his competitive juices flowing in just the first game. It should make for a fun season in the NFC East.
