After opening their 2012 season with an embarrassing 31-17 home loss to the Youngstown State Penguins, then following that up with an almost-as-embarrassing away loss to the Cincinnati Bearcats, the Pittsburgh Panthers football team really needed that big win against #13 Virginia Tech on Saturday.
So did their fans.
Yep, the Panthers rebounded in a big way this week, beating the Hokies handily by a score of 35-17. And let me tell you, their fans were pumped. Or, at least one of them was.
When Pitt put the game in the bag with a 15-yard TD pass to (ginormous) WR Mike Shanahan late in the 4th quarter, one of Shanahan’s biggest fans simply could not contain his excitement…so he pounded his chest like a cracked out spider monkey.
