Stat Line Of The Night — 10/1/12 — Brandon Marshall
Stat Line Of The Night — 10/2/12 — Aaron Hill
Aaron Hill of the Arizona Diamondbacks has been having himself quite the productive 2012 campaign, and it continued during last night’s game against the Colorado Rockies.
Hill entered the second last day of the regular season with a .302 average, 25 home runs and 82 RBIs, but even more impressive is the fact that he hit for the cycle not once, but twice in 2012. And he came only a triple away from doing it a third time last night, as the D-Backs’ third baseman hit a single, a double, and a walk-off three-run homer in the ninth to give his club the 5-3 victory.
Despite the victory, the Diamondbacks are still well out of playoff contention, with a respectable 81-80 record, but Hill should enter the off-season feeling good about how he closed out his latest campaign in the Majors, as he earns “The Stat Line of the Night” for Tuesday, October 2, 2012.
