Cristiano Ronaldo led the attack for Real Mardid during Wendesday’s UEFA Champions League Groups Stage match against Ajax, as he scored three of his team’s four goals on the night. But it wasn’t the Portuguese winger’s hat-trick that had everyone talking one day after his team’s 4-1 victory. Instead, it was the lone goal scored by teammate Karim Benzema that has captivated headlines and highlight reels over the past 24 hours.
And rightfully so. After all, it isn’t everyday we see a world class player deliver a world class bicycle kick golazo on a stage as big as the UEFA Champions League. But Benzema did just that.
