An Epic Flop And A Nasty Nut Shot From The Same CFL Game (Videos)
Flopping, it seems, is becoming a pandemic in the world of sports.
Soccer players, of course, have been diving all over the field for years, and we just laughed at them. However, it turns out that flopping is contagious, and has made it’s way to North America.
Don’t believe me? Well, just take a look at this incident from Saturday’s CFL showdown between the Montreal Alouettes and the Saskatchewan Roughriders:
The guy on the left is Odell Willis of the Roughriders, and the guy on the right is Dwight Anderson of the Alouettes. Neither of them is a smooth operator.
In any case, there you have it: flopping in football.
Of course, I’m not sure what’s worse: flopping, or openly punching your opponent in the nuts.
I mention this because, in the same game as the above flop, Montreal’s Shea Emry gave Saskatchewan’s Brendon Labatte a very unsportsmanlike whack on the family jewels.
Take a look:
My favorite part of this clip is when the commentator says this is “what is referred to in some circles as ‘the junk punch’.” Oh, really? What circles are those?
All kidding aside, I’m not sure what’s a worse sign for modern sports: that guys are flopping all over the place, or that they are punching each other in the nuts. You be the judge.
