The St. Louis Rams traveled to London on Tuesday for their game against the New England Patriots at Wembley Stadium on Sunday. That was three whole days before their opponents.

The idea? To beat jet lag and then, hopefully, beat the Pats.

Unfortunately, the plan didn’t work. After a quick 50-yard TD strike on the Rams’ first drive of the game, Tom Brady and company went to work. They scored TDs on their next five possessions and shut the Rams out the rest of the way.

Final score: 45-7.

Of course, you know with that kind of offensive outburst, Rob Gronkowski had to be right in the thick of things. And he was: 8 receptions, 146 yards, 2 touchdowns…

…Oh, yeah—and one epic royal-inspired touchdown celebration “honoring” the host country. Take a look:

I’m not sure how this was received by the locals, but if nothing else Gronk got himself noticed. It’s kind of like he was saying, “I don’t know how you do things in Old England, but this is how we do them in New England.”
