Stat Line Of The Night — 11/6/12 — Joakim Noah
Stat Line Of The Night — 11/7/12 — David Lee
The Golden State Warriors don’t have much star power on their squad, but that doesn’t seem to be preventing them from piling up the wins early in the season. And they earned another one last night against the Cleveland Cavaliers, thanks in large part to a strong performance from power forward David Lee.
Lee put forth what was easily his best performance of the season on Wednesday, as he recorded season highs in points (22), rebounds (14), assists (6) and steals (3). His team was also a solid +7 with him on the court, as they earned their first home victory by defeating the Cavs, 106-96.
With the win, the Warriors improve to 3-2 on the season, and while that may not seem all that impressive upon first glance, I’d argue that it’s a strong start for a team that hasn’t finished above .500 in any of the past four season. If they hope to break that streak of futility, they’ll need plenty more games like this one from Lee, as he earns “The Stat Line of the Night” for Wednesday, November 7, 2012.
